LoRa IT Innovations Private Limited ("Profitbil", "Company", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our merchant clients, store operators, and end-user consumers. This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, and protection of data acquired through our Point of Sale (POS) cloud software, web applications, REST APIs, and related services.

By accessing or using the Profitbil platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information to provide and improve our billing and POS services:

• Merchant Account Data: Business owner name, business registration number, GSTIN tax ID, billing address, phone number, and email address.
• POS Transaction Logs: Itemized SKU sales history, checkout timestamps, prices, GST tax splits, cashier IDs, and payment mode tokens.
• End-Consumer Data: Customer phone numbers provided voluntarily for WhatsApp digital receipt delivery and loyalty point tracking.
• System Device Telemetry: IP addresses, browser specs, barcode scanner driver telemetry, and app performance logs.

3. How We Use Information

We utilize collected data strictly for legitimate operational purposes:

• Processing store sales transactions and generating compliant GST e-invoices.
• Syncing inventory levels in real-time across multi-counter outlets and cloud servers.
• Sending WhatsApp digital e-receipts and automated reorder alerts.
• Generating consolidated P&L margin analytics and GSTR-1/3B tax reports.
• Detecting fraud, security breaches, and unauthorized cashier access.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential session cookies and local storage to maintain authenticated cashier sessions, preserve offline POS sync databases, and remember user UI preferences.

You can configure your browser to reject all cookies; however, disabling essential session cookies will prevent the POS cloud terminal from maintaining active cashier logins.

5. Data Security

We enforce industry-standard security controls to protect merchant data. All data in transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3), and all database records at rest are encrypted using AES-256 protocols.

Profitbil is hosted on secure, high-availability cloud infrastructure with automated daily backups. Payment processing is handled exclusively through PCI-DSS compliant third-party gateways (such as Razorpay and Stripe); Profitbil does not store raw credit or debit card numbers on its servers.

6. Third Party Services

We share data with trusted third-party service providers only as necessary to deliver platform features (e.g., cloud hosting, payment gateways, and WhatsApp Business API gateways).

All third-party partners are bound by strict non-disclosure and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

7. Data Retention

We retain transaction records and tax invoice logs for a mandatory minimum period of seven (7) years to fulfill statutory fiscal tax reporting requirements. Account telemetry logs are purged after 90 days.

8. User Rights

Under applicable data privacy regulations, merchants and consumers possess the following rights:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of all personal and transaction data stored in our database.
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate merchant or tax profile information.
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of non-fiscal account data subject to statutory tax retention laws.
• Right to Data Portability: Export SKU catalogs, customer lists, and sales ledgers in CSV/JSON format.
